This annoys me - the more these things happen the harder it becomes for people to ever trust speed enforcement plans

I am not surprised they got it wrong, see my case, which I won thank to help from SafeSpeed:
http://www.safespeed.org.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5728

The camera was monitoring "lane 3", but as I highglighted to the Police, the camera was positioned further than 10 feet away from the carriageway they were monitoring.

It took 9 months but I won the case so please do take these cases to court.

My case was against Thames Valley Police and was heard in Maidenhead court last September (2006).

This is scandalous.

It's not relevant that the scammers think they have sufficient evidence against the drivers; the equipment was being used outside its type approval and is therefore not legally valid - end of story (or so it should be  )

This is exactly how Nazi Germany started, the authorities disregarding legal priciples they find inconvenient :o

Remember, it's only us that have to adhere to the law.

people think we've moved on from the questionable police tactics of the 70's "he fell down the stairs before confessing guv" but once again this shows the wholesale disregard those that enforce the law have for the law itself so long as "crimes are solved", only change is they now persecute easy targets instead of real villians in line with policing in general.

Perhaps we could wade into this one with another press release Paul, highlighting how the 'authorities' are happy to flout their own rules to the detriment of the driving public?

I've been on it for ten days, working with a freelance journalist. We thought we had it placed last Sunday, but it didn't run. It's currently in a reserve list for several papers and will run if anything else gets pulled.

Any reason why this is not on national news yet?
