Trafficmaster plc today announces that with effect from mid January 2005, all Rover 75 and MG ZT models, except entry level models, will be equipped with Smartnav as a standard fit.

Rover 75s and MG ZTs will also come with Smartnav's Safe Speed service, a fixed site speed camera safety system, which warns the motorist of upcoming speed cameras and RAC Trackstar, a GPS based stolen vehicle tracking service.

A sign of the times...

Perhaps Paul should ask for a royalty for the use of the name "Safe Speed".

I suspect it won't be long before standard fitment of these devices is general on upper-range cars.

Oh for a budget to launch a trade mark abuse / passing off claim against them. I did write to them earlier this year. No reply.
