More Dodgy councillors.

But at an AGMA meeting, bosses of all 10 Greater Manchester councils refused to bow to the pressure and collectively agreed a timetable to submit a £1.2bn Transport Innovation Fund (TIF) bid to the government to improve public transport

10 bosses my ****, the AGMA (Association of Greater Manchester Authorities) has a 100% Labour membership.

Bugger, that bribe is going from a big 1bn, to 2bn, to 2.9.

this smacks of desperation.

I worry its a big enough bribe and lie to make a major part of the Greater Manchester voters go "Ok" who may have at 1bn said no :(

Please do not be taken in, vote against Labour on Thursday.

1.9bn is being borrowed against future profits of the road pricing system.

which us Joe/Joanne public will end up paying the loan repayments for with road pricing.

Hold on......is this is blurring the lines a bit.

Where does congestion charge stop and road pricing begin?

Road pricing was going to be tax neutral, so where is the extra money comming from?

If it is not the same.....i remember that London congestion charge dramaticaly failed to generate the revenue it was suposed to because the operational costs were way over budget.

Its a con!

There are similar letters as I understand in the Bolton Newspaper.

I gather the reply to Dr Allen refers to a letter he wrote in which he claimed he would have Manchester all to himself in his 4 X 4 because he can afford it.

I thought it "tongue in cheek" at the time .. and nope .. I do not know Dr Allen professionally.
