I am trying to send a file of around 10mb to a friend but my email refuses to have any of it.
Is there a way around this or do I have to use some sort of hosting site he can sign into?
If so does anyone know of a good one that is preferably free and idiot proof?
It's a RAR file if that is relavent.

You could use a file splitter and send two seperate chunks.

IIRC Skype supports file transfers too.

Most of the instant messengers - Yahoo, MSN, ICQ - support P2P file transfer.

YouSendIt have a free "lite" account for files up to 100MB. You upload the file and recipients get a link to download the file.

Or uploadr.com allow files up to 150MB on weekdays.
