Ah, just a bunch of NIMBYs! I bet the bloke in the story was riding his bike over ramps and obstacles in his youth, just like every other kid does/did.

Kids?
They will be kids. Let's be frank Martin. Kids. They push envelopes. They try it on. They push to your limit point.
Ach. I know this. I have William (eldest .. und the sensible one

)
Our terrible twins. They are nice kids. We have had our "moments" though, We hope we reigned in enough though

Especially our second son.
We have another teenage daughter. Adopted und I worry about posting this as it seem to suggest "lesser than fruit of marriage". I assure - loved as much as if I gave full birth labours to her. Our second daughter. Beautiful. Polite. But also has the odd moment just like Lukas (fruit of my womb), Andrew (adopted but as much our child as the rest) und Rachael (whose pregancy/birth reported on this board

)
But children? They will push parents as much as they can.
We can only hope we teach them as best we can. We know they want to test Kismet out. They not so different to selves when we believed in youth's immortality. But we now know better. We become

our own parents in this. We can only then hope/pray that we did right thing. Made them aware of dangers.
Martin.. it not so easy when you have a wilfully stubborn teenager on you hands. You teach.. sit back HOPE it sank in. So far with ours.. so good. We then perhaps "lucky". So many are not. It not for want of trying either. Let us be honest here. It not easy to address the high spirit of youth which believe it invincible/immortal. We can only try our best on that one to be honest with you.
I hope you und Jec see this

I say again... I never intend Jec to take offence over twelve month ago. I did not post offence or did not think I did anyway to her. I felt it complacent of her to post "never speed= never having accident over 10 year period. " That all. I still sorry she took offence where none intended all the same. I hope you say so or she read this post which intended in friendship to you both.
Accidents have nasty habit of happening as someone make stupidest error if not COAST aware. :winkL: Even if COAST aware .. no guarantee any more than sitcking to lolly guarantee no prang to pristine paintwork of trusty car.
