Hi

Can someone please tell me that if you get caught driving with your dog in a van you get an instant ban and £100 fine?

No, It is a pure wind up.
However you should have proper control of your van and that might mean fitting a harnesson your dog if your dog is in the front.

Police can arrest you, they can impound your car. I cannot think of an situation where a police officer can give any one an instant ban for any thing. They could stop you attempting to drive off in an unsafe manner. (ie Loopy un-restrained large dog in the front of a car). They could issue you with a fixed penalty notice for an unsafe load.

There are strict rules for carying livestock but I dont think that applies to dogs.
