Odd how they always know best yet end up appearing to know very little. Seems councils never learn?

As I have said before, These devices seem to be an example of "One law for them"

If I put something like this in the entrance of my private driveway and a "tresspasser" was injured or their vehicle damaged I am sure that my feet wouldnt touch the floor!

Well it seems now that all you'd need to say is you'd just make a few adjustments and all will be well and totally ignore obvious dangers. Just like the council does.

How on earth do these things pass any safety considerations?

:gatso2: That would be because it's more important to ban pancake tossing and sauce on ice cream on the grounds of health & safety.

How can they use the word "safety" for something designed to raise out of the ground and impale its self on a vehicle behind the crumple zone?

I like the end
It is the motorists fault that these had to be installed. :D

Given that under the latest version of the CDM Regs designers also have to consider the safety aspects of the use of a design not just construction, maintenance and demolition I'd say that it looks like a potential breach to me.

Mind you getting the HSE to take designers to task over a very PC item as this would take more resources than they have at present.

What a load of old bollards.

Someone should tell them about the KISS principle.
