Any advice gratefully recieved.

I drive about 20k per year, I have a clean licence, my last 3 points expired November 2007, I have just recieved a NIP for driving @ 38mph in a 30mph limit, fair enough, I have viewed all the details on the web, photos, etc, however I saw the van, and it was parked on the grass, just off the road illegally ?,

Any advice or pointers on whether this is worth a challenge in court ?,

There is a road, pavement and then grass, where the camera van was parked, also does anyone know the legal limit regarding validity of calabration certificates ?

The "instrument" used by the van operator is an LTI20-20 Ultralyte100, the certificate of conformity states 23/1/8, however detailed calibration was last carried out 31/5/2006

Any advice gratefully recieved

It doesn't sound illegally parked by your description but it doesn't matter, it has no bearing on your case.

Best to head over to pepipoo for the rest.
