I found your site this evening after being stopped for the 1st time in my life (18 years driving), driving home from work.
I was pulled over by an unmarked Police Car who had trailed me on a dual carriageway. The Police Lady said I had averaged 81mph over a near 7 mile stretch. I think her estimate is a bit low but hey, maybe my speedo is out
I was the unlucky one I guess as I was the end car in a queue that were all travelling at or about the same speed.
Nobody appeared to be speeding in the real sense of the word, although legally, of course we were and I'll accept my fine and 3 points and remember to keep an eye out for that shitty unmarked Vectra next time.
What I mean is, a lovely clear evening, dry, excellent visibility, not a lot of traffic and everyone was zipping along quite happy heading for home and looking forward to the weekend when this.
What really, really got me, was the BBC film crew in the back of the Police Car who wanted to film me being taken through the procedure!
I expect they'll bleep out the bit where I said "no thanks", if it ever appears on TV.
Ah well, at least it wasn't last Friday night, if she'd been able to keep up, I might have been walking to and from work by now
Take care out there, bad people want your licence.
