missing us 
We have been in Arizona since mid-Sep und we came back for Christmas as we had left the eldest three over here to complete studies und we also have not had time to make the bosom pals over there .. YET .... so we thought we'd spend time with our own family/friends back here for the first major holiday as we are family first/old pals first folk... by nature ...
but we are getting close to some und "under the skin of some USA FEDman or men on a local Tucson chatsite on our FAVE topic of
It ist like "home from home" as I have met the equivalent of von or con of the 20 daily posts about nowt in particular und we have found a new "mr annie" to tease without mercy
(Unfortunately.. these cops c-carry . g-g-uns
und my new "fedplaymate" reckons I should be shot on sight for "teasing"...
BUT....when he heard I was a bit poorly - he sent me a virtual hug und a virtual posy of flowers und e-mailed me a Get Well card und Thanksgiving und Christmas cards all the same..
via the pm/e-mail systems on the local chat board .. which was really .. really KIND und appreciated by us. (He told us he enjoys our "quirky limey take on life"
und admitted that he think we talk some sense on safe driving .. err.. "most of the time und accept we have valid points on s/cam policy.. which ist most refreshing change

We were thinking of making a post about our lives in Tucson. It ist really different und after watching the Xmas "Day of the Triffids" - und Doctor Who - I think I will be looking at the cacti in a "completely different way"
when we return there .. around late January as I have a couple of meetings in Herts und Basel und Ted also has a couple of professional progress addresses to make over his research to date from over there.
I had a bit of a health scare recently ... und it was serious enough to bring entire family across to us .. mainly to look after our kids - especially the really big one I am married to..
It ist longest jackanory but I AM OK und ON THE MEND so long as I make Ted wait on me "paw und claw"
When we arrived .. we were made very welcome. We had parties und invites to dinner und we also do the sight seeing. Arizona ist "Wild West - plus Spaniard culture .. plus APACHE INDIAN Heap BIG Culture..
und ist a lot to see. Also my cousin Klaril live in neighbouring state of Colorado .. so we visited her too on weekend in October.
We have had little spare time as result of all of this und we thought we would up the post count ... und errr .. the SMILIES
over the Xmas over here .. but end up meeting up with all our neighbours und family who all appear to have
missed us . so we have had a rather heavy social despite the local flooding und the snow... und Ted say we not need to go on to Appenzell from Basel for a weekend of winter fun with my family as he has built a huge snowman und had a huge snowball war with our kittens in our own garden
As for IG? He has been singing away with his choir over the season und cooked us Christmas dinner bei ihm und entertained us last weekend as well. He has a few other family commitments .. one of a personal nature involving his elderly ma-in-law und he also become a Grump-Papa
He say he has been incredibly busy as a result which leave him scant "fun time" at the moment. He also rush across to us in our "hour of need" around Mid November when I .. errr.. became rather poorly. (It seem I never fully recover from the littlest kittens.. und it caught up with me over there.. but after giving poor Ted a right scare .. I am now getting much better
und have a few lives left still.. My command of Englisch ist a lot more erratic than normal ..
as I am still not "quite up to speed"
Our timetable now?
We are currently snowed in like everyone else
But plan to escape around mid January.. calling in at the F1 Fest at the Birmingham NEC on way to London. We then plan to have weekend in Appenzell at end January after wsork related meeting in Basel und dann back to Tucson.
In case anyone wonder about the kittens' education? We have been giving them structured school lessons ourselves und arranged for them to visit their old schools .. which are unfortunately closed because of weather.
We will still post here as und when we get the minutes to do so. Life will be again "on fast speedy road" when we return to work over there.
