Would you pan the camera with the trigger pulled, and read off each vehicle that comes into frame?

Quote:
Mr Loophole told the court Montgomerie was one of 39 drivers "zapped" by the person operating the hand-held camera in the space of 73 minutes – a rate of one per 11 seconds.

So far so good... 11 seconds is a long time - but that was the AVERAGE.

Quote:
Operators of speed guns are only meant to target vehicles they suspect are driving too fast, because unlike fixed speed cameras they can move in the officer's hand, raising the risk of false readings.

In contrast, Montgomerie was the third motorist to be recorded in five seconds as the speed gun operator "swept" across them

Judge Peter Hughes QC ruled the readings were invalid, adding: "He was targeting literally anything he wished to that moved in front of him."

Apparently, if he actually sincerely believed that he WAS a member of the Engineering Council which he had left four years before, then legally he was not lying - my apologies! :)

If he has been member of the Council the qualifications which he needed to be accepted wouldn't vanish when he failed to pay his subs. :) Membership of the Engineering Council is open to anyone who is a member of an accredited professional bodies on payment of a fee, so the court should be asking him if he is still a member of an appropriate professional body.

I think the issue was that he told the court he WAS a member, when in fact he wasn't.

It's like REDSPEED using an IS 9001 quality assurance logo on their calibration certificates, when the UKAS rules expressly forbid it - it is indicative of a regime which does not think it needs to follow rules and regulations!

Steve Callaghan is featured on the REDSPEED website, endorsing their products - strange how these dishonest rule breaking types seem so willing to get into bed with each other!!

Ah yes Botach! I know that phrase.

That which they call Terminalogocal inexactidutes by any other name, to us plebs, is still just a lie!

Is bullshit in the OED yet and, if so, why can't it be used in the House of Commons? Can I use it here? :bunker:

"I put it to the right dishonerable gentleman that thou talketh a skipfullist of bullshit speaker"

I live in hope. I wouldn't last a week in parliment...

Oh, and while I'm on the topic.. Speed in itself does not kill! Misuse and abuse does! A scamera cannot, and does not, differentiate between use and abuse! Never has, never will.

Thank you and goodnight...

where is the evidence he was panning with the trigger depressed, as you well know this would throw up errors,

was loophole in court, was it a hand held camera or a tripod mounted camera ?, a lot of conflicting info there

Ugh! :yuck:

Anyway, what makes you say that? Am I giving out a vibe or something? ;)

Actually, dcb said something which I didn't know how to take, about rope :? FYI I haven't ruled it out Mr W but only if/when I have a none-quality of life I see others 'living'.

Back on topic. The latest I read was that Montgomerie was back in court today to face the charge again. When the Judge declared he will have to pay a fine of £400 Mr Montgomerie asked "so no points then?" to which the judge replied "Yes - FOUR! ".

:coat:

Camera partnership Staff stated that he could check 15 vehicles in 5 seconds Bo@*@cks !! There was evidence of panning. The check was completed in 0.3 seconds the video (not picture) clearly shows that the + hair was on the offside light cluster of the vehicle at the start of the check. Furthermore there were 5 checks in 5 seconds two of which were error code 03 (unsteady). The vehicles were also travelling away at an angle on the oppossite side of the road therfore enhancing the slippage. The distance from the camera was 50 to 60 mts, giving a large surface area for the beam to slip over.

so what, where was the red dot aiming

is E03 a reading !!!!,

so beam width of 9 - 10cm, a car traveling away from the operator, cosine effect x hair on light cluster, (probably high right)

Where was the red dot of the aiming? You would have to ask the operator .Mr. Griffin, I believe he had more than 4 years of experience as an operator of the device! ( My sources also say that he brought the equipment to court to demonstrate the workings to the Judge and it did not work). As you would be aware as an ex operator of the equipment you would align the red dot with the cross hairs on the monitor on an object about the same distance as your target vehicles.

Error reading of 03 is still a reading ie. The check that has been attempted but is too unstable to record the speed . It still takes 0.3 seconds for an error code to be displayed!

Is there anything else that you would like to knowon this subject?

Perhaps CO might be asked a similar question .

Is it a "DUCK " OR A :sub: ,WITH GS manipulating CO's legs from underneath ~~(and no doubt I'm in for a hard time from mods on this post) ( copy to mods- I've got a copy to pass on in the members section)

Is GS banned?

Oh, I forgot - it was just one of his many identities - another iteration is already here - he just can't help coming along, as he is so concerned about the things we discuss on the forum!

I trust Cam Op is not being discriminated against because of his views on Muller Yoghurt! Have they asked him to retract his sig?? :o
