Watch out Mole - there is a lot of chesty coughs circulating down this end of the county - some schools have had lots of absences for the coughs, which turn into a cold a week later!
My kids stayed healthy until they started school - then they brought all sort of ills home!
I am a firm believer in Rum and Blackcurrant Ribena as a means of dealing with colds (for adults!).
The Ribena contains vitamin C to fight the cold, and the rum helps you forget or not care about the symptoms!
Lots of people swear by Hot Toddies - personally I hate waiting to get the cold before you can start knocking them back!

I'm a hot toddy man personally. Doesn't cure the cold, but puts me past caring that I've got one!
Interestingly, the start of the school year - with lots of kids getting exposed to each others' bugs tends to be a good time for family colds.
