I am very sorry to report that after an article in the Ross-shire Journal which gave my full name, I then had food go missing and now the dog has been stolen.

Seems to have been food to entice the dog to trust ...
Dog went sometime between 4pm Sun and approx 1pm Mon, confirmed gone at approx 4pm. Police ar doing what they can and now the Ross-shire Journal are now to print another article for the stolen dog (Thur though!)!
They claim they got my name off the SSPCA ! Even so if that isn't bad enough and probably goes against a host of data protection acts, they still decided to print it and make no attempt to call me or get my number !!!
The paper says the sspca called them too but he said they called him for comment !! I wonder if I will ever hear the truth !
I wonder if Nick Freeman might like to have a case !

What is SSPCA? Why would an article in the paper giving your name result in direct action against you.

Sad ,sorry to hear ,like all dog owners. Personally ,I'd hope that it's just theft, as I note that this breed is becoming very popular.Even where I live,where Staffs are the dog of choice ,Huskies are taking over .

Not directly ... but there is a growing and common theme that the RSPCA and SSPCA 'name and 'shame'' people in the media and the 'damage' is done ... you don't know until it is already in print.
I have had the newspaper agree that it was wrong of them NOT to contact, or at least try to contact me.
Their chap Dougie Campbell has made many assumptions and MANY mistakes on info that I have shared with him to help him understand my difficulties and then he has taken that and splattered it all over the press ! Disgusting. I have even seem reports now where people discuss their cases and then find those websites quoted in Court ! It is pretty horrific what is going on. Happily I have no 'case' to answer and they agree that the animals are fine and no law is being broken.
Due to the article though it has directly resulted in the theft. I am now extremely worried, for my dog and for my property. Many friends are making many extra trips past and a friend has now offered to stay there too for extended periods!
The police have now completed and sent out their Press Release on the case. I am just gutted and so very very very upset.

Happily the Ross-shire Journal has given my response to the former sspca non-sense, a front page position with a large photo of my husky. Some compensation at least, but little consolation really !
