I was driving home from work down the glorious Mxx (road name protected for fear of busy body) and as usual i pulled off the overcrowded Mx and before me was a couple of miles of zero traffic, the weather was warm and dry, no wind and fog free and i gently put my foot down.

I won't say the speed i got upto for fear of causing shock and outrage to anyone, but i felt great, i felt completly safe and my modern car was loving it.

Happy days. Naturally as i approached the slightest bend i slowed down before and gently accelerated around the bend, again my car purred with delight.

What a couple of minutes, was a dream come true.

OK i'll admit it i was doing almost 85mph, sorry if this post causes offence to anyone, and i know i committed one of Britains most serious crimes, just wanted to share my joy as a points carrying thoughtless criminal with the rest of you.

Careful Double E, you might find yourself confessing to even more wrongdoing! 8-)
Just remember that Dolphin in the Tyne, that got injured by a police boat's propellor - most people assumed it happened in the river, NOT back at the station!
It was a case of confession being good for the sole! :P

I must admit that i do find it increasingly hard to drive at NSL on the way home after a shift. I might have covered as much as 130 miles on that shift, at speeds of up to 130mph+.........To suddenly get into my car and do 70mph on those very same roads seems very very slow..... :(

Oh, Ernest, about that dolphin......it sustained those injuries by falling down the stairs at the nick......happens a lot you know!

I must remember to use that excuse if I ever transgress at Ings, in the 40mph limit.
"Your honour, I had just driven up the M6 and was not yet accustomed to driving on such a splendidly wide straight road at such ludricously slow speeds!" :D
