I have just renewed the insurance on my bike. On the statement was “insurance tax”.

WTF. And they wonder why there are so many uninsured drivers on the road. Anther breadwinner for the treasury.

I also just booked my next flight to the US includes £65 "airport tax"

Looks like good old window tax should be making a return soon.

Kinda reminds me of the "Handing Fee" and "Service charge" you have to pay for concert and theatre tickets. I'm just wainting for the "Extra fee for no reason charge".

The best is the fact VAT is charged on Fuel Duty which means we get taxed on a tax!!!

And you are taxed on the income you have used to pay National Insurance "contributions".

But you pay income tax on the money you have earned to pay VAT on fuel tax. Thats tax on tax on tax.... :x Then there is National Insurance....is that not a TAX.

Maybe they should introduce train station tax, and bus stop tax as well .....just to level the playing field. Oh then there should be bicycle tax (lycra tax)...

And if you wish to save a bit of your income, you are then taxed on your savings.
