Never in my 30 + years of driving have I seen any thing so dangerous as specs cameras in the Leicester Road works. To night on my way home from Lutterworth to Leicester I see that the Leicestershire scamera tossers have moved the specs cameras further down to motorway south bound, but no speed signs are deployed. So as drivers see the cameras and from 70MPH slam on the brakes as they are confused as to the speed limit. Totally unacceptable behaviour from these Scamera thugs I would have thought that common sense would say move the speed limit first then install the cameras at least but no! Leicestershire camera partnership what a waste of space sack the lot! tossers

Saw these
Image

on the M62 last week, each one had a "camera not in use sign" nearby.

I am guessing they will go live when the roadworks start though they look a bit permanent.

And this is 18 months after they found that speed cameras at roadworks cause accidents. :?

Yes they are the ones but with out signs of any kind. You want to see the danger they’re causing.

I saw another bad accident being cleared up earlier this week. The third that I have seen there since the roadworks started.

I would like to know how many there have been since they put the cameras up.

And what exactly is the purpose of a 'camera not in use' sign? huh?

Could it be an admission that cameras cause crashes, so please try and ignore these instead of panicking?

Motorway blocked this morning just north of the road works. Another major accident. Motorway closed in both directions

WTF is going on.

Take a drive down there every day like I have to and you will see bewildered motorists not knowing what the hell is going on. This is due to piss poor signing I have it on video. EG after the NSL sign are the specs. Drivers speed up to 70mph then see the cameras and brake hard. You got to see it to believe it. This is madness some ones going to get killed
