They are being funded through the Cumbria Safety Cameras scheme, a partnership between the police, county council, highways agency and courts service.

Three other fixed cameras are being placed in the south of the county.

n Safety cameras will be watching motorists on the following roads from today: A6, B5305; Tuesday: A596, A595, C1036, C6010, C6012; Wednesday: A590, A5087, A595; Thursday: M6, A66, A6; Friday: A5086, A66, A595, A66; Saturday: A590, A65, A6; Sunday: A66, A6, A686


Presumably these got through prior to the freeze ordered by the Government

Someone bang in an FoI request as to the causal factors of the 5 accidents.

I posted a FOI request and it appears that Steve, Jan and Kevin are all Out of the Office - they have all their OOO messages set to contact each other as well! Durr!
