We all know about the panic breaking passing a Gatso - but has anyone seen panic breaking of cars driving into a Gatso- possibly an automatic reaction to the markings on the road on both sides.

It happens on the M25 where the cameras are not visible. I have also seen it where the lines have been left behind after the roadworks have gone

Thinking about it , i wonder how many near misses there are due to old markings

M6 Northbound between junction 17 - 18 there’s speed markings from road works on all 4 lanes (counting hard shoulder) and I’ve seen many a car smoking it’s front wheels. They are definitely a danger to motorist and should be removed after road works have been completed.
