If only, Apparently Brunstrom is stepping down from the ACPO head of road safety/policing.

Mind you I 'read' this in the labour supporting SUN comic (not a regular reader of course, since they switched to New Labour), so may be fiction. He is to be replaced by the Chief Constable of South Yorkshire who has two speeding convictions to his name and is for cameras!!!

It did however go on to say that Brunstrom wants to see thousands more cameras on Britain's roads. Guess he won't have that luxury now will he?

His replacement is a cop with 6 points on his license.

Only a year ago he would have called him an antisocial criminal.

How times change.

Maybe he's one of the "cured speeders" talked about in an article in MCN .
Aparently a physocologist can cure speeding - says it's a habit like drugs.
Looked at 5/10 /2005 on line copy - not in it - probably someone has a copy of this one.

It appears the basic idea of the course is to make you feel like you will die if you ride your bike at all!

MCN's editorial is somewhat critical of the idea that speeding bikers want to be reformed in this way.
MCN wrote:
Imagine then that despite your resistance, the treatment is so effective that not only does it succeed in "readjusting your attitude to your vulnerability" but pretty much takes away the appeal of bikes at all - or anything else vaguely dangerous for that matter. What sort of person would you be then?

Suddenly a ban and a fine looks very attractive.

No scanner, but I can try to take digi pics and get them hosted if anyone is interested in seeing the whole article.

Perhaps his first subject could be Branston's replacement, to cure his fear of motorists (2/4 wheel) enjoying themselves and driving /riding safely

Oh and then there's the gents who like to do 150+ testing out new cars and then the 50 or so gents in Derbyshire
