Their press launch info makes no sense.

A child is killed or hurt while walking or cycling in the UK every 31 minutes. At 20mph their survival chances are good. At 30-35mph they reduce to about 50/50. At 40mph death is an almost dead cert. Yet more than half of drivers speed in 30mph zones at any given time
So, 46 children per day are killed or hurt while walking or cycling. That's 16,790 per year. Of those 16,790, 106 died - 0.63%. Surely this proves that 99%+ of the incidents they are attempting to address occur at significantly less than 20mph, so all their cries for 20mph limits are pointless?
