It came to me in a flash. It's so simple!!! You see, like most of you I thought that all this grief over cameras, speed limits etc was some kind of Government plot to raise money etc etc, but it isn't- it's PMT !!
Think about it-nearly every time you've read a quote from a pratnership, Arrive Alive, TfL or whatever, the spokesperson was a female (probably called Jenny or Pippa). Given the huge numbers of ladies employed in this industry, instead of using camera revenue to put up more cameras (which only increases the numbers nicked and therefore the admin)-
use the camera money to bulk-buy Oil of Evening Primrose capsules !!
Then, when the girls are no longer feeling bloated and homicidal due to raging hormone swings, they'll see the light.

With the greatest of respect, WTF are you on about? IMO this post is not a serious argument, is off-topic for this forum and is likely to bring SafeSpeed into disrepute if not removed.

Paul, can we have this one killed at birth, please?

As much as I'd like to see PMT outbreaks get 3 points and a £60 fine, I agree that this is off topic for all forums except the "Jokes and Humour" forum that SafeSpeed (for some unknown reason) doesn't have.

(topic moved to "General Chat" by moderator :) )

I think there is some truth in there.

Its a simple fact that women are more likely to get all fussed over safety issues, and want everything to be safe and cuddly.
Its the way things have always been, despite this new age obsessin with so called equality. The sexes are NOT and never will be equal in certain matters, and yes you will find that the SCP's are either run by women of real fairy like men, who probably eat lentils and ride push bikes alot.

It seems to me that women are upsetting the balance. they want equality in all things, but as soon as they get a chance they want to dumb everything down and make it safe. Dangerous things are usually the peserve of the men. Its a fact, whether you like it or not.

Ehem - not ALL dangerous things are the preserve of men.... You are right though that women tend to take more interest in safety and other such issues.

Absolutely, look at that machine in your little pic!
And that French woman who climbs sheer cliff faces using nothing more than a pair of rubber boots and gloves for grip.
And ANY woman who gets in front of the TV when the football is on......

A lot of the additional 1000 plus emotion-based knee-jerk laws we have seen since 1997 are probably as a result of 'feminine' influence.
