Wildy has just returned from the shops and fetched the papers whilst she was out! Manchester headlines with the 73 year old who received an NIP telling he;d been copped on camera
with photographic supporting the and video evidence supportiugn the allegation that he drove past the Apollo at
800 mph
So it's the standard letter as sent by all prats
worried pensioner accused of driving extremely fast- and even the Moggies could not match this speed wrote:

I was very worried when I opend the envelope to find a letter from the police
I knew I'd been on that road but I also knew I had not been speeding anyway
Anyway Don Frame's piece continues...
Quote:
When he appealed the Police immediately cancelled the ticket relaising their error.
They said it had been an "inputting error. A spokesman said the Central Ticketing Office had looked into it and found the speed on the ticket was not correct,
She said the inpofrmation had been input manually and the mistkae was down to human error and added that this was as islolated error. She ap;logised for any inconvenience caused
NOT GOOD ENOUGH!
As for isolated error - we've already had cars travelling at 460 mph and 406 mph in the past ....one case being re-issued at 46 mph (the ancient Marina (or Maestro)

in Wales....

and the Pug in Runcorn at 406 mph.... not to mention the Gatso in Yorkshire which clocked everyone at 84 mph regardless of the speed. That one only came to light when one guy set his cruise control after being scammed once before at identical speed by same Gatso....

(ca late 2003)
Given so few challenge - we do not really know how many "clerical error" there really are.
By the way= for benefit of scamemrati lurkers - current land speed record is 763.035 mph!

AND Nope - the Moggies do not go quite that fast!
