Hi all

New user. Just wondered if anyone has any information about the new camera's recently installed on the A1 near Dishforth in North Yorks. They're attached to tall pylons at the side of the road, 2 semi-circular glass "bowls" per mast with 2 small white lines at the side of each carriageway. No idea if they're speed cameras, CCTV or what...

As far as I am aware it is the declared policy of North Yorkshire not to have speed cameras. I believe this was announced a year or two ago by our Chief Constable. I'm not sure what you've seen but let us hope there has not been a change of policy.
