What's the likely points/fine for this offence if it goes to court ? Are costs still in the £50 region ?

If it doesn't go to court, can the accused still obtain a copy of the evidence in video form ?

mine didnt go to court, and i still got a lovely snap-shot of me on a corner which looks great on my wall hehe, not sure about video's though...

I got done for the same speed in the same limit but not a carriageway and got 3 points and 60 quid finem im only 17 and they tend to be a bit nasty to us young riders sometimes...

but maybe they will play on the fact your riding a bike capable of doing 200+mph and if you have one, i would take the 200mph club sticker off your bike.

It is a Busa you were riding wasnt it?

I wouldnt worry about it, i rekon its 3 points and a 60 quid fine, but see what everyone else thinks.

Thanks, I wasn't driving the busa powered car at the time otherwise it could have been higher !

Is it worth going to court to get to see the video or should I forget my rights and just pay up ? Just wondering if a car needs to be travelling for a set minimum distance or is a single snapshot sufficient ?

Get over to pepipoo and look at the LTI 20-20 threads..... All is far from cut and dried for you at this point and you have a very good chance of avoiding paying this speed tax if you play your cards right!!!
