See this link

http://www.thewaterfront.co.uk/conferences/conf_calendarSafer%20Roads.php

Do you think they will actually talk about how to make roads safer or just lowering the speed limits?

The conference is sponsered by the IAM so there should be some hope.

The last hour should be interesting, Amy Aeron-Thomas for RoadPeace and Mark McArthur-Christie for ABD.

I'm surprised Paul didn't go to that.

Is there a published transcript of what was discussed?

Surprised you9 didn't know - Oscar - the streets are to be shared with kids (of all ages ), for whom it is too far to walk to a park) --little consolation when you complain to the police about smashed wing mirrors or windscreens that you cannot see out of due to ball marks , and certainly no excuse when you get pulled for a dangerous wing mirror ( hanging off) or a dirty windscreen due to the elder kids (teenagers ) playing football and using cars as goal posts.
They aparently have a right to do this - you should move your car away from the area and their parents will be keen to tell you so , if you ever find them .[sarcastic mode off]

Not only too far to walk to the park, but they can't get on the swings and slides 'cos the paedophiles are swarming all over them - kiddyfiddlers everywhere - I know it's true 'cos the media says so... :yikes:

From the tabloids - schools are not exactly the safest of places either , lots of folks with records of some sort or other ( and CDs too )
