I think it was the same Neil Kinnock who once said in Parliament (of Margaret Thatcher's trade union legislation) that bad laws should be changed rather than broken.

Perhaps he would care to turn his attention to the bad laws that are currently criminalising drivers by the million, himself included, with no noticeable impact on road safety...

Hi Paul,
This is the high profile type of friend we need. He is ripe for the message - he knows he wasn't driving dangerously and the inconvienience of the system. ( he's a politician hence the apology and remorse and no use of hardship - no days of press hounding ). A nice letter explaining the case against speed cameras and asking for more independant research might give you a friend in high places.

Regards

Richard

That's hardly likely to happen after PS's press release of "Neil Kinnock, you are a hypocrite of the first order".

In that case, invite him here to put his case, and defend himself.

It MIGHT just be the way the press has reported his words which make him SEEM hypocritical. 8-)

Mr Kinnock is of orse a millionare (i wont bore you with the class poloticsof) the point is that asix month ban and £400 fine for some has a totally different effect of a six month ban and £400 fine for others.

There should be some way of making Kinnock and the one braincelled football celerbs pay a similar penalty (excuse the pun) to te rest of the population.

So it's OK as long as you take the punishment.

Can we apply this elsewhere?

Is it OK for me to murder someone "if I take the punishment"?

So he is also guilty of driving without due care and attention?

So if you get caught and you are a politician, of copper its "shear inadvertence"

If its joe public its "antisocial behavior".

I must remember that one.

I wonder is Prescot was guilty of "shear Inadvertence" when he was caught shagging his secretary...

And taken from another thread, "The chief constable of Central Scotland has branded speeding as "the worst kind of anti social behaviour"."
