I will sumarise events - 60mph zone to 40mph zone. Trees covering signs. Saw van, braked hard, I reckon its borderline.

Am I right in thinking its 14 days before I know? - It was one of the police vans with a guy sat in with the back door open.

Advice would be welcomed.

Yes - Registered Keeper has to be notified within 14 days - so if you are RK - you will know the worst by then.

How fast over were you? S. Yorks police vans generally 10% plus 4 or 5... unless near a school / real hazard....

No paint on road either: Tssk tsk!

Its hard to determine the speed I acutally went through out, obviously with the panic and hard braking. I reckon it was around 45-46. My mate's dad - a traffic cop, said this was borderline, so I have been biting my nails for the past weeks.
