this occured on the 13th June 06 at 4am, i was travelling from central london to canary wharf.
there is this long section of road after the 20mph zone which consists of 3 gatsos.
I was driving at a constant speed of 30mph i am very sure because the 20MPH made me self cautious about my speed.

BUT, i got flashed twice while passing through the 2nd GATSO.

A tall trailer was following me very close behind and the camera flashed twice while i was positioned about middle/end of the markings.

Can this be a false flash?

i know i haven;t recieve the NIP yet but the problem is i m leaving this country for holiday for 2 months. would i get prosecuted for not repsonding? (i wont b here to recieve the NIP anyway!!!)

please help me with this one!

Nothing can be done until you receive a NIP. Until then, why worry?

The law gives you a reasonable time to reply to the NIP anyway; being away and dealing with it on your return is perfectly acceptable.

If you were going 30 in a 30 then I doubt you have any thing to worry about, and I would be surprised if a NIP arrives.

If it does just tell them that you were aware of the double flash and you checked your speedo and it read 30 so could they check the photo (with Gatsos the white lines are used to corroborate the radar) and if they still think you were speeding to forward you a copy.
