Yep - sounds like that will do the trick
"BEN" - Salga Chaudari reports - page 9
Residents on Tennyson Road, New Bury claim their road has suffered 5 crashes in last 20 months. Latest occurred at 2a.m when a car crashed through resident Jane's garden wall. Police thought the car was stolen and the two occupants ran off..
However, Resident Jane claims the other 4 incidents occurred in the day time and parents will not let their kids play in the street as a result.
Er... Ms Jane.. roads are not playgrounds. Not even a cul-de sac is a playground
From the photo in the paper - looks like a wide road; normal width footpath ... but houses do seem to have a small front garden. Of the incidents reported - one driver hit a parked car at 8 pmand another hit another parked car and flipped over.. landing in another front garden mid morning.
Not sure why this road has these problems.with parked cars .. . photo (will scan it tomorrow) seems to show a wide-ish road to me - may be locals speeding

- though resident Jane looks like she's on a bend per this photo.
Boils down to COAST though.. residential roads - not places to speed on and it does seem like local thugs are using as rat run given that some of thse incidents involved stolen vehicles.
Bolton Metro plan to introduce chicanes to slow the traffic down there.
