On the topic of speed limit signs... If the blanket 40 limit on "rural roads" is foisted on us, how are they going to post the limits? 10,000,000 40 signs??

edit: I am pretty sure such a scheme would be illegal without a change to the law. If it was a court matter then it might be ok, but I think fixed penalty notices are not a public matter.

That's why scamera bosses don't like to go head-to-head with him - I think he has only spoken once, and that time it effectively doorstepped him for comment.

Yes, nothing constructive to say other than it's interesting and entertaining listening.

Some notes:

- The holes in the back of a Gatso are keyways for unlocking it, and are visible at all times

- "Failure to produce documents" is a pretty low level offence - the sentence is nowhere near as severe driving without a licence etc. I can't see how that guy was found guilty, he must have either done something wrong in court or the prosecutor was telling porkies and the clerk didn't know the law.

Excellent program, the presenter & Paul complemented each other very well and the phone-in/reaction formula really worked. Paul is exceptionally good at bringing the SafeSpeed message over.

Where is Talksport broadcast to? Is it local/regional, or national?

MEN article says;

but they probably do at least four times the mileage, so are actually much safer drivers.

And would it be fair to say most of the high mileage drivers spend most of the time on motorways, which are the safest roads in the country.
