well the tr4's would be in there 1962 designed by an italian, very advanced for its day
and my little Yaris Verso for buying parts for the tr4, so versitile
there would be hymar camper with a built under garage to house...
the lotus super 7 just to nip out and get a few local supplies or try out the road to skye
the Delorean, well you must have a gull wing. composite body stainless steel panels and a peageout/renault/volvo hybrid engine
I have allways wanted a Jenson Interceptor... just to make the winters a bit warmer
For going off road a Bowler Wildcat
and a Bristol 404 for sunday lunch in style
I would like a souped up VW camper/ day-bus
and a rediculous large engined trike at least 7.0l

Not so much missed it, as passed it over in favour of one of its Holden stablemates...

I did think of it when selecting my list of manufacturers (hence it's GM rather than Vauxhall) but I don't really like it very much. It's very impressive in terms of power and rorty noise, but it's not very pretty?

Bowler Wildcat ... see, I hadn't thought of that for my 'other'. Isn't that the one that had the hamster saying "I am a driving God"?

Except the VXR is a Vauxhall

Great topic for a Friday. Going to cheat and talk about manufacturers not brands.

Ferrari - 1962 GTO. I don't really like modern Ferraris, mostly since an Essex boy 360 owner gatecrashed a conversation about cars I was having with a friend in a pub.

Porsche - 959. Was on the last page in a book on sports cars I was given when I was a kid. In the chapter on the "future of sports cars".

Mercedes - 1927 280SEL. Gorgeous, and who wouldn't want the devil's car?

BMW - 2002ti. Or maybe a shark nose 635 CSi.

PSA Peugeot Citroen - 2CV6. My first ever car and still something I secretly, guiltily love. The mechanics at the garage where I used to have it welded up every few months called it a "CND staff car." I would buy this first and use it for carrying bricks to build the garage to hold this lot in.

Fiat - Well it's Alfa Romeo really isn't it. New Spider, V6. For everyday.

Honda - I really don't know. I'm left a bit cold by Japanese cars - somehow they're just too good. A VFR 1100 maybe, since I haven't got any bikes?

Volkswagen - Audi S8 for long journeys.

Ford - Aston Martin DB9. If that's too much cheating, a 3 litre Capri with a horn that plays the hornpipe, like the lads on my estate had in the '80s.

GM / Vauxhall - That big Holden Monaro with a giant V8 in it.

Wildcard - The DB9 if I wasn't allowed it for Ford. Otherwise a Lancia Aurelia B24 Spider.

Oh yes absolutely. I love those choices. But what about a Vignale body FF for instead of the Interceptor?

Quite a well known story about the Jensen: An RAF pilot put his brand new DB5 in the ditch. In disgust he rang up Aston and told them to come and pick it up as they could have their 'horrible car back'. He went straight out and bought an FF. Perhaps the first case of somebody who's driving was so bad he thought he needed four wheel drive to keep him out of trouble. Nowadays he'd be buying a Carerra 4.

Everyday car, family car - Audi S6 Avant

Weekend car - Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder

Gotta admit, some great cars mentioned already so apologies if I duplicate one or more........

Ferrari: 1962 250 GTO
Porsche: 917K in "Gulf" colours (maybe not for a daily drive though.....)
Mercedes: 1955 300SL "Gullwing" ('nuff said)
BMW: ...............850i............M3.............Oh go on then. M635CSi (daily drive)
PSA: Citroen SM
FIAT: Alfa Romeo Montreal
Honda: Would love a NSX (car wise), but Honda is a bike company. It's what it does best. So Mike Hailwood's RC166 250cc 6 cylinder race bike.
VW: Corrado VR6
Ford: gotta be GT40 in Gulf colours
Vauxhall: The Lotus Carlton! What else?

Wild card.................

Well. Duncan Hamilton was recently selling a Jaguar XK-SS recreation by Lynx.............but the wife and I would really rather get our '65 MGB to Pebble Beach condition.
