He's thinking, let's put the knife in even further, before twisting it and killing off the UK, and the pound, once and for all. Let's see how long it takes before the British people start screaming. :(

Take care

Starting to think the guy does not just need sacking but prosecuting for gross negligence.

Filled my car with tax this evening, prosecution for theft is one option, the other being a blunt instrument.

I happen to think that Blair, Brown and Bush have been the West's worst leaders since WWII and they all came at once.

Or we could just sell him to the states - might just pay something off the national debt   ( the shocks were for what the Yanks would get)

Gets rid of the maintenance/repair costs of the various assets and passes them to commercial enterprise. Who will doubtless have to raise prices....interesting that the other two would also do the same but "not at the moment". Hmm. Election soon, so they would say that anyway.
If you seriously thought that the conservative parties "bonfire of public services" would only mean lower car and fuel tax you must be slightly under the 'fluence of something.
Number one:NO (that's NO) party is going to lower fuel tax or car tax. Let me repeat that: NO PARTY (not without putting it on something else...like ROAD PRICING) ( which IS going to arrive no matter WHICH party is in power)
Look at the machinations at Cambridge to get congestion charging in.
The infrastructure is already being installed...and with sales and private financing of roads coming along quite well the actual arrival of pricing and collection is only a matter of time.
Have a read on data handling/problem solving, with road "pricing":
NU As-You-Drive-Pricing
The links are interesting at the page bottom as well....
I just noticed THIS on the news....the Great Conservative Sell Off !

56 years after it was decided it was needed, the Bedford Bypass is nearing completion. The last single carriageway length of it.We have the most photogenic mayor though, always being photographed doing nothing
