The point has also been made in discussion on this on another forum that anyone doing under 6,000 miles a year has a relatively high accident risk as they're not doing enough driving to "keep their hand in".
Strangely enough ,Peter - I've just renewed my insurance , and trying to keep my costs down , try to miss out journeys, and to try and help me do this have looked at reductions in mileage . I now ( at 63, and in all but name retired)qualify to be accepted as an even better risk by one aged folks insurance - where mileage reductions mean lower premiums. I did ( for a laff) stick in 3000 - to get another reduction . And , my daughter has climbed on the band wagon - it appears that even if I never drive her car - adding me as a named driver gets her a hefty discount ( on her old car ,it pays the VED). Now as an Entrepreneur, not entitled to work ( or face penalties) -can I make a "nice little earner" ,getting folks to add me to their policies ( and charging a percentage

)
Folks -I'm open to offers -

( got 15 years NCB, 44 YRS CLEAN LICENCE ,no convictions ( and none pending).
Sorry - offer only open to blood relatives .
